Getting to the resource centre

The centre is reserved for private households and businesses based in the City of Differdange. Entry requires an access card, issued free of charge to the person paying the waste charge, on simple request to the City of Differdange.
Accepted and refused waste
The centre is divided into an outdoor area (containers) and an indoor area (hall). Check below before you set off: not everything is accepted on site.
What we accept

Clean paper and cardboard.
Glass
Container glass of all colours (bottles), flat glass (windows with or without frames, mirrors).
Windows & PVC
PVC window or door frames, with or without glass.
Scrap & metals
Scrap metal and metal objects.
Green waste
Biodegradable waste: grass cuttings, branches.
Wood
Treated and untreated wood.
Rubble & inert waste
Porcelain, earthenware, soil, rubble, tiles, bricks, plaster.
Bulky waste
Bulky items, mattresses.
Tyres
Car, bicycle and motorbike tyres, with or without rims.
Appliances & refrigeration
Small and large appliances, fridges, freezers, televisions.
Plastics
PET bottles (clear/coloured), HDPE bottles, yoghurt pots and plant pots, HDPE/LDPE film, Ecosac bags, clean polystyrene (EPS).
Tetra Pak & aluminium
Tetra Pak cartons, aluminium packaging, metal caps, stoppers (cork, plastic).
Electrical cables
Electrical cables and wires.
Clothes & shoes
Clothes, shoes, second-hand items.
Hazardous waste
Paints, oils, solvents, pesticides, medicines, batteries and accumulators, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, fire extinguishers, cartridges, asbestos and Eternit.
Accepted with conditions
1 categoryBusinesses and institutions can also drop off at the centre, within the same volume limits as private individuals.
Business waste
Items and waste brought in by businesses or institutions.
What we don't accept
2 categoriesThese types of waste go through dedicated channels. Please don't bring them to the centre, here is where to take them.
Household waste
Residual household waste, bin bags, food leftovers.
Explosives & ammunition
Fireworks, ammunition, pyrotechnic devices and items that could explode.

Give your items a second life
The centre has a second-hand shop where you can drop off and pick up used items in good or repairable condition, free of charge.
This initiative encourages reuse, reduces waste and supports more sustainable consumption. Everyone has the chance to give a second life to items that still work, at the heart of a local circular economy.
